AFFORDABLE HOUSING
We have been actively involved with affordable housing for nearly thirty years, serving on the boards of affordable housing companies. This service has given us the provider’s perspective – as a non-profit, as a consumer of architectural services, and as a builder and as a landlord. It has also given us the unique perspective of the customers. On the ground, we have designed many affordable developments and individual houses, demonstrating that housing that people can afford need not be ugly, and that knowledge, creativity, and thoughtfulness can create meaningful places, with life quality, for people who can’t achieve housing, especially home ownership, through traditional mechanisms.
